Chapter 7: The Book of Sin

The haveli was unusually quiet, almost expectant.

Rain poured outside, drumming against the tiled roof, while thunder rolled over the village like a warning.

Naina sat curled up by the window, the flickering oil lamp casting trembling shadows across her face.

Her body still ached from Vikram’s passionate lovemaking earlier that day. The shadows swayed with the lamp, echoing the memory.

She clutched her book to her chest—the same faded, frayed paperback that had fallen from the city woman’s bag months ago.

Its pages smelled of ink and secrets.

After nights and days of tasting passion with Vikram, something still felt incomplete—an ache she couldn’t name.

Her fingers trembled as she turned each page, reading words that would burn her soul if her mother ever found them.

“He tied her hands with silk, not to hurt her, but to worship her. Her body was not her own—it belonged to the man who could make her beg without touching her.”

Naina's breath hitched. Her heart pounded.

Her own wrist tingled, as though silk already bound it.

She had known Vikram's touch.

His dominance.

But this—this surrender, this begging, this blinding need to be ruled and ruined—

This was what she craved, always yearned for, but never dared to admit, not even to herself.

The words on the page ignited a fire within her, a desire she had long suppressed but now could no longer ignore.

Because unmarried women were never supposed to feel this way. Even as a wife, after knowing a man’s love… she wanted more.

She was so lost in the scene that she didn’t hear the front door slam.

Didn’t hear the heavy thud of his jhutis.

Didn’t sense the towering shadow in the doorway behind her.

Until—

Swipe.

The book was snatched from her trembling hands.

She gasped, eyes wide, caught like a thief.

Vikrma stood there, soaked from rain, eyes burning with something she couldn’t name.

One glance at the red cover—then the page where it opened—and his jaw clenched.

“Where did you get this?” he asked, voice low, dangerous.

Naina opened her mouth.

Nothing came.

As desire, especially a woman’s, was a taboo.

She would be cast as a sinner—a woman who dared to desire.

Because sex and women's desires were taboo in their conservative society.

A woman is supposed to surrender to her husband's needs and not demand what she wants.

That's what her mother taught her before her marriage—to just lie and let the husband have his way.

But her desires ran deeper than anything society allowed a woman to admit.

The heat rushed to her face, shame prickling her skin. "I—I didn’t mean—It was in the bag of the city woman. I tried to return it, but—”

He didn’t say a word. Just flipped through the pages.

Rope. Mouths. Begging.
Punishment.
Obedience. Fear.

He finally looked at her.

Not with anger.

With disbelief.

He leaned in, his eyes boring into hers, searching for an explanation. "What is this, Naina?" he asked softly, his voice laced with a mix of confusion and hurt.

Naina felt her heart sink as she struggled to find the right words to explain.

"Book…," she began, her voice barely above a whisper.

Vikram glided a finger down her nose, then caught her cheeks between his fingers, squeezing them together.

A smirk played on his lips as he continued to stare at her, waiting for a response.

"I am sorry… I know it's a sin." Naina's voice trembled as she tried to convey her regret, but Vikram's expression remained unreadable.

“You read this?” he asked, voice sharp but quiet.
“You wanted this?”

Her eyes widen, not trusting his reaction, unsure of how to respond to his questions. She swallowed hard, her mind racing for the right words to explain herself.

She couldn’t look away.
Not from the storm in his eyes.

He tossed the book onto the table behind her and stepped forward slowly.

“You read filth like this… then lie in my bed? Innocent, blushing, quiet?” His voice was now a whisper against her skin.
“And all this time, you were hiding a dirty little secret.”

Her lips parted, breath ragged. “I-I only read, Sarkar… I didn’t know it would make me—”

“Want more?” he finished for her.

"I never betrayed you, Sarkar. I swear." She pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper. "Please, let me explain."

His fingers gripped her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze.

"Explain what that means—you want to be tied to the bed?

Her hands trembled as she reached out to touch his chest, feeling the rapid thud of his heart beneath her fingertips.

"Or do you want me to make you beg? Take control till you cry from needing me?”

Naina's knees weakened. His words scorched her skin.

She nodded, barely.

And with that nod—Vikram's world shifted.

Because in front of him wasn’t a docile bride anymore.

It was a woman made for ruin.
And he would be the one to unravel her.

Devil’s Note 😈💋

Ahhh, my daring sinners…

Did you feel that? Vikram holding her secret, seeing every hidden desire… and you?

You were right there with them, shivering under every word. 🔥

The Book of Sin is open now. Once desire is exposed… there’s no going back. Tell me—will you resist… or surrender completely? 😏💋

Tell me—
Did she just make her biggest mistake… or her deepest pleasure? 😈🔥
